Two-striped Grasshopper

Got that pesky credit card switched over (nothing like waiting until the last minute.)   Tried it out when I went to pick up groceries (but took cash w/ me also just in case).  Treated myself to a Subway sandwich.  Once home there was an Xcel Electric truck parked up by Mjolnir.  Couldn't find the driver so opened my front door and told Whip to 'find'.  She found the guy walking in across the hay field.  Turns out fiber optics are coming out my way and he was marking where my electric came in across the field.  Nice guy and he gave me an idea and a contact for what to build next year!  Storms were forecast for later in the day so neighbor Doug came over and put his rain gauge right next to mine.  We've tried to figure out why my gauge is always reading more rain (by alot) than Doug's.  Doug gave me the name of someone who might be able to put in the finishing gravel around Sleipnir.  There is positive progress on the dog and cats relationship and tonight Dancing W/ the Stars begins a new season.  I'm definately putting today in the plus column.
