Black and Yellow Garden Spider

Cool enough today for me to slip a long-sleeved silk undershirt beneath my t-shirt.  Got to thinking.  It's September - why not put the electric blanket on the bed?   I'm not quite ready to change out the microfiber sheets for flannel yet.  Won't stop sleeping w/ my windows open.  Won't swap out to the summer quilt for the winter one either.  Usually I turn the blanket off once I'm in bed.  Slipping into a warm bed though puts me to sleep faster than anything.  However, when I went to test the blanket the controls didn't work.  Tried to remember when I bought it but couldn't.  That means it might have been w/ me when I lived in the Big City - over fifteen years ago.  Well, if it's kaput better to find out early in the season rather than later.  There is an electric blanket for the spare bedroom but that one has dual controls, is bigger than I need, and I'd have to disconnect and pull the controls from under that bed.   Russell and Donna gave me an electric throw which will easily warm up the bed in the meantime.   I'll order a electric blanket on-line - I see they have new safety features - just as well to be upgrading.
