Blitz in a patch of sun

Neighbor Doug broke off a large catnip plant and gave it to me for the cats.  I tossed it on the living room floor to see what they would do w/ it.  Blitz gave it a thorough sniff before walking away.  Dunder shoved it tentatively w/ his paw a few times but when it didn't move he became uninterested also.  When I walked out of my bedroom this morning I saw the sprig of catnip still on the floor.  I picked it up w/ plans on dropping it in the tall grass while the dog and I were on our constitutional.  What looked like a detached leaf though was a gray tree frog which the cats had dispatched.  How had the little frog gotten in the house?  My screens aren't the best but I thought they were at least amphibian-proof.  Saw that one of the screens had been snapped and bowed out enough for a cat to get through.  Maybe Dunder had excitedly hit the screen hard enough in an attempt to grab a little frog on the sill?  Then I heard Blitz crying.  It's a sound she makes when she accidently gets locked into a room.  She was out on the deck and her whiskers were full of spiderwebs and other detritus.  She'd been on my bed when I woke up so couldn't have been outside too long.  I went out, scooped her up, and deposited her back inside.  She sat for a long time just cleaning herself off.  I caught a glimpse of Dunder as he slipped under the deck.  Eventually he came to the back door but whenever I opened it, he trotted off.  Finally I took a screen off a window.  He considered it for a moment and then leaped up and into the house.
