Out for a long walk this morning. I make sure I have a pocket full of treats for Whip. (Put them in the left hand pocket this morning because this is the pair that has the chewed out hole in the right pocket.) Check the temp - above freezing but not by much. Check the weather - pretty windy. Put on a puffy vest, mittens, and stocking hat. Laced up my walking boots. Looped a leash around my shoulder in case I needed it. Put a phone in the side slot of my camera case and slung that over the other shoulder. Grabbed my walking stick and away we went. We were in the far field when I heard a ding from my phone. Probably nothing but decided to check on it anyway. It was a text from Kathy asking if I would be joining the meeting. Oops. Forgot that the meeting time had been changed from the afternoon to the morning. Connected into the Zoom meeting via my phone and managed to talk and walk at the same time. I did have to modify my planned hiking route - the swamp and trees aren't conducive to good reception so turned back to the open field and higher ground. Whip didn't mind as long as she could keep me in sight. Two tasks accomplished at the same time. Once we got back home, since I had extra time now, I took a nap.
