Ski Hill at night

My sister Connie related the folklore that when the robins come back to the Northwoods, we'll have three more snowfalls  I don't remember hearing that one before.  It got me thinking of what are my signs that spring is on it's way?

Spring is near when, after a walk, the cuffs of my jeans are filled w/ old leaves and twigs instead of snow.

When the ski hill lights go dark.

When the jigsaw puzzle fever abates.

When I make my last crockpot of chili for the season.

What are your personal signs that spring is coming?

Beach gets busier. Whooping cranes leave. AC runs daily. Wear shorts more than jeans.

The daffodils are starting to pop up out of the ground.
It's warm enough to not wear a scarf and heavy gloves - just my light gloves.
My exterior lamp posts' timer needs to be adjusted so it turns them on later in the evening when it's actually dark outside.

The Sand Hill Cranes return and the ice goes off the lake.
