Sand-hill Crane
It's one thing to hang out clothes on the line to dry. It's another thing for them to stay on the line on a windy day. About all I could do was use extra clothes pins. The dog and I then hit the swamp road again. This time we didn't take the railroad easement shortcut but traveled the entire road. The truck tracks which had been so useful to follow in February were now ice. Even Whip was slipping on them and she has claws. I walked carefully along the edge of the road in the crunchy snow. A good outing. Once back home the clothes I'd hung out were already dry so I went to retrieve them ... both those still on the line plus the ones which had blown off and landed in the tall grass.

Nice picture. They sure are big birds. Spring is on its way. Looking forward to more of your pics of Spring from up North.
