Brexit is now officially over. It started w/ a vote in 2016 where the United Kingdom (UK) voted to leave the European Union (EU). It's had a couple of extensions, then technically ended Jan. 31, 2020 but everything still remained the same until today. I checked on the BBC news site. There was only a minor human-interest story about Brexit. Covid and reports about how our president is trying to overturn election results took top billing. Well, it is a holiday plus many EU borders are shut down to control the pandemic. I'm very curious about how this severing of ties between the UK and EU is going to play out. Will the UK go into a recession? Will Scotland vote to leave and go back to the EU? Will the EU ultimately survive? Stay tuned for more intrigues from As The World Turns.
