At the Zoom meeting yesterday, my friends talked about the meals they had planned for New Years. I was going to have a frozen pizza which didn't seem all that exciting after hearing their plans. So today, as is my New Year's Eve tradition, I payed off all of my bills, made some charitable contributions, and tied up any loose ends. Then stopped by the Chinese Restaurant and ordered vegetable fried rice and Mongolian Beef. Eating Chinese fit in w/ my New Year tradition of watching the movie Flower Drum Song. After all, Chinese New Year is a big deal - so what if the Lunar calendar has it on a different day from our Gregorian calendar? Once back home, I remembered one more thing that I hadn't done. (Should have made a list.) While it would make no difference if I waited until next year to finish it, this is one of those cases where my OCD, which is usually kept well in check, bubbled to the surface. It meant one more trip into town but I'm glad to be shed of my 2020 responsibilities and can enter 2021 w/ a clear conscience.
