Russell and Donna

Russell and Donna came over for Christmas Eve dinner.  We started off w/ a cream of tomato soup.  Second course was a tossed green salad w/ tomatoes, onions, and toasted almonds.  Entrée was a pot roast w/ mashed potatoes and green peas.  I like getting out the Christmas dishes and serving the meal in separate courses.  Donna remarked it might be one way to get the kids to eat salads. (ha)   I figured by the time we made it through all that food we'd be stuffed, so dessert was just coffee w/ chocolate mints and shortbread cookies.  Brent & Evelyn called while we were eating.  Russell put the phone on speaker so we could all talk.  Good to get together and now I also have left-overs for Christmas Day.  Whoo-hoo.
