Whip's new coat
It's the start of rifle deer season. Usually the weeks leading up to it are loud as hunters practice shooting at targets or adjusting their gun sights. It has been fairly quiet this year and the answer was on the local news. There is a dearth of ammunition. Between Covid shutting down some ammo factories and a run on the remaining inventory (I suppose similar to hoarding toilet paper), many stores have limited buyers to only two boxes of shells. While Whip may/may not have her jacket on, I'll be wearing my blaze orange windbreaker on walks for the next nine days. We are only rambling around on my land so there shouldn't be any hunters there but, like wearing masks in public, it can't hurt.
