The walk started through the woods. I was looking for mushrooms. Should have looked earlier in the month because now the forest floor is covered w/ leaves. I enjoyed just walking through the leaves almost as much as Whip did. On the other side of the woods, I considered walking up the edge where the trees met the tall grasses since I knew a couple of places I could probably find fungi. Whip however was anxious to take the path that leads out of the woods there and, since I didn't really care if I found mushrooms or not, we took off on that way. Sometimes it's fun to follow the dog rather than the other way around.
