One brother was getting a pre-exam before cataract surgery.  He was told he had Fuchs' Dystrophy.  Turns out another brother was told he also has it. That prompted a call to me to see if I had it.   The Internet sites I checked stated not only is it a hereditary condition but 4 times more prevalent in females than males.  The optometrist had a cancellation so instead of waiting until July, I got in today for my eye appointment. Of course I asked her about the Fuchs'.  She queried me if I'd had symptoms  No.  Then she checked my eyes.  No, I don't have it.  When I got back home I stopped in the foyer.  It's covered w/ family pictures and there is at least one picture of each brother and sister.  We all have the same 'look.'  Can't believe any of us are adopted or switched at birth.  Must be I just lucked out in the gene pool.
