Birch in autumn

Another beautiful day in the Northwoods.  It started out in heavy fog.  Indy and I went for a short walk through it.  When you don't know what might be ahead in the fog it makes the usual paths seem more exciting.  By afternoon the sun had burned off the fog and warmed things up into the 60's. Cleaned out the remaining containers on the deck - no more fresh oregano, thyme, or chives.  (The basil didn't make it past the first frost.)  Put the rain barrel, wheelbarrow, and remaining potting soil in Mjolnir for the winter.  How cool is it that I can drive into my garage this winter w/o maneuvering.
