The original plan was to put in a holding tank for the sewer system. There wouldn't be that many days w/ people in the new garage and I could get by w/ having a company pump the tank once a year. In the submitted bids there was an option to connect the sewer system from the new garage to my existing system. In general I'm not a fan of messing w/ my existing systems that are working just fine but I went w/ this one. Once again in came a backhoe to dig a deep trench across the side lawn. The plumbers laid the pipes, covered them by hand, before letting the backhoe move the dirt back in place. Fortunately the cat guy was here working on the new garage's driveway. He did a good job of cleaning up the area as much as possible. It was all over in a trice. Now just need to wait for the meadow to grow back.
