Another view

One of the builders told me that being up on the scaffolding while they sided allowed them to watch a doe take her two fawns back and forth through the meadow.  A doe w/ one fawn I'd seen but not one w/ twins.  Deer view Indy and me as threats when we walk the paths.  Their tails go up and they bound away.  However, deer don't think of vehicles in the same way.  I was mowing the trails last night when there was a doe standing only 15 feet off the path.  She stood her ground as I and the mower slowly passed.  Similar to the Aztecs seeing the first mounted Spanish riders the doe was curious of the hybrid I'd become.  Could be she also had a fawn hidden nearby in the meadow's tall grass and that made her reluctant to leave. She started grazing again as I drove off.  At sunrise I finally saw the doe w/ twins.   She was leading them down a freshly mown path and into the woods.
