Starling

This little guy stopped by for awhile.  He looked like he was having a bad day - if for no other reason than he was by himself.  Starlings are usually found in flocks and will fly w/ birds of other 'persuasions' rather than be alone.  This starling is in his non-mating plumage of spots and brown feathering.  As breeding season nears his beak will turn yellow and he will become a shiny iridescent black.  Starlings stick around year-round.  Their usual fare are insects but obviously that's not a choice in winter.  They manage this time of year by eating live-stock feed and garbage.  Maybe he got hold of some bad garbage?
