I was flabbergasted when I was first told to do it. When we open for an election, the person putting out the flag says "Oyez, Oyez, Oyez ... The poll is open." Of course when it's freezing and the wind is blowing, we do say it pretty fast.
Heavy fog left everything frost covered against a clear light blue sky. The whole world was beautiful. I went out and did errands that weren't really necessary. It's true older people like to get things done now rather than later (not sure why). However, I wanted to get out and about because we have a Saturday snowstorm (WEACON 2) and Sunday snowstorm (WEACON 4) forecast. The threat of being home bound is an impetus to get out, even for a little while, ahead of time. Met a lot of other people w/ the same idea today.
