T - Pitcher

Busy night for me at the library.  The library had closed part of last week due to the cold so I hadn't done my volunteer stint.  That meant two weeks of attendance and fee data to enter plus January stats to print out for the librarian.  New books for February were sitting on the desk waiting for me to enter on this month's notice of New-Books-At-The-Library. Before she left for the night the librarian asked what I thought of reading to children.  "I think it's admirable." was my response.  Turns out the usual Summer Reading Director quit and the librarian was looking for a replacement.   While I loved telling stories to my nieces, I was never cut out to be a teacher.  The librarian took the hint.   The cub scouts came in and went to the back to hold their meeting.  A number of people came in noting that they needed to get more books before the next snowstorm left them home bound. I put away the new books and was surprised that about a third of them were duplicates of books already on our shelves.  That happens occasionally but not to this extent.  Left a note for the librarian in case there is a problem.  All was quiet as a drove home and when Indy and I went on a constitutional however, when I let her out for the last time, the snow had started.  Glad I have my own stash of books to read.
