Changing Maple
E-mail from the church (which Nancy gets but I don't for some reason) said today's sermon would be about a reappraisal of our family life. If you remember, the pastor had passed out a pamphlet of various familial circumstances last spring. Sermons since then have been oriented toward families. I looked through all of the categories in the pamphlet when it was first given to us and had found I didn't fit any of their niches - wasn't a kid w/ parents, a young person looking for a mate, married/widowed, w/ children, grandparent. Nancy and I decided to have a long breakfast instead and bypass the service this morning. Hopefully sermons will vary from that topic now.

I used to not pay a lot of attention during the sermons on husbands loving your wives, etc., but now have to sit up and listen.
