I'd negotiated that the current display at the library would be removed the last week of March and the new display would be installed the first week of April. The old display was already removed by the owner when I was informed that the new display wouldn't be ready until around mid-April. Talked w/ the librarian and she'd prefer something in the cases even for that short period of time. I remembered complaining to my sister once that I was running out of ideas for displays and she had suggested recycling some of the old displays. It had been some years since I'd put in the Lomonosov animal figurines so I brought those in for the display case near the computers. Connie was right - no one remembered them. Put in a collection of Orrefors crystal in the back display case. Only three to four pieces on each glass shelf - lead crystal is quite heavy. To me, a certain sparseness shows off crystal. I like the way the displays turned out - even if they were thought up and installed in less than a day.
