Pictures are just a snapshot in time. Like this one. It appears to be a young woman happily working hard on the farm. That's not exactly true. Mom told me that she had just got home, quickly changed into one of her sister's farm duds and rushed out to have an 'action picture' taken on a load of hay that was waiting to be put up. Her younger siblings who had been slaving away all day weren't too happy that she had a pic taken this way. Mom smiled whenever she told that story.
I donated money to Public TV and they sent me a 'Thank you' gift DVD 'Echos of Time.' When I opened it up I was pretty excited thinking it might be a talk on the 3 degree microwave background radiation from the Big Bang event. Wishful thinking. Turned out to be sweeping vistas of pretty places taken by drones w/ a bland music accompaniment. I took the DVD in w/ the books I was donating when I showed up for library duty tonight. I put the books out in the 'For Sale' area since they were all older paperbacks but gave the DVD to the librarian. "It's new so you might consider it for the stacks." I said. She asked what it was like. "Well," I replied "it would be great for a dying person to watch since they wouldn't care if they didn't make it to the end." Go figure - turns out the librarian likes that kinda stuff.
