Forbidden Fruit

 The photo contest theme for October was 'Forbidden Fruit'.  I had to come up w/ five pictures on that subject.  Since it was Fall, I chose a caramel apple for an 'Autumnal-style Forbidden Fruit.'  Being Baptist thought of the ban on getting drunk on the 'fruit of the vine' so found the wine bottles I'd saved when friends visited.  Paired them with an open Bible to get the point across (if you are wondering, the Bible is turned to John where Jesus turns water into wine).  What next?  My apple tree is located in a corner of the stockade so got a picture of an apple framed by wire - forbidden fruit to the deer at least.  Another obvious option was poisonous fruit - Deadly Nightshade berries provided a colorful picture.  Finally, I was making chili in the crock-pot and Dunder wanted desperately to get up on the counter and check it out.  I kept dousing him w/ the squirt gun but it got me to thinking that not all 'Forbidden Fruit' is fruit.  I didn't win this month but had fun w/ the idea.
