Autumn color
Indy and I walked out to Gorgeous Gorge this morning to watch moonset. Came back home, opened the back door and out slipped Dunder. Decided to take my time before I retrieved him - changed my slacks and went out to the foyer for other shoes. When Dunder escaped in the past out the front door I was worried he would run down the driveway and into the road. I'd go out right away and try to catch him - which he made into a game of chase. However, out the back door means he's on the deck and, at worst, might head for the meadow. Last night I'd turned on the heat for the first time this season so this morning the house was deliciously warm. Giving Dunder some time to realize how cold it was outside (in the 40's that time of the morning) and how wet the grass was (that's why I changed slacks and shoes) was a good ploy. When I walked out onto the deck, he seemed glad to see me and began purring when I picked him up. Might be that being alone out in the wide world was a bit scary also.

Beautiful photo today! Dunder is what our mother would have called a "scamp".
