Started preparing for the Fair today by going down to the bank and converting the contents of my two "piggy banks" into paper. The Fair has been an annual ritual w/ the GNO group for many years. However, one friend and her husband said they might not make it this year. Turns out Hurricane Harvey is predicted to come ashore right where their condo is located on one of the outlying islands on the coast of Texas. The whole area is evacuating so they obviously wouldn't be traveling there now. However, by Sunday when they have some idea of what a level 3 hurricane did to their new home, they might need to trek down there to do clean up.
