A couple of weeks ago I got a notice that I had funds that would be turned over to the state if I didn't provide my current address. I reread the letter and couldn't find anything that looked like a scam. It had been sent to my correct address so I just had to check a box and return the letter. However, I couldn't imagine what "funds" I had coming to me. Today in the mail I received a check from Honeywell. I still have some of their stock from which I collect a dividend. I must have neglected to cash one of those checks. I certainly appreciate the effort they went to but it seemed a lot to reissue a check from 2012 for $12.41.
