The forecast high temp was 65 but I doubt that we made it out of the 50's today. It's also been a stormy day w/ off and on rain and gusty winds that make the whole forest sway back and forth. It was a Northwoods send-off for Brent who left for sweltering Texas this morning. I shut all of the windows in the house not just to keep the rain out but to keep it a little warmer inside. I put on some long underwear and when I sat down to watch TV both cats crawled onto my lap to leech heat. Today gave me a chance to try out my new car's heated seats and find out if the auto-climate controls (no pun intended) would warm as well as it has been cooling. I've left the electric blanket folded at the end of the bed for much of the summer so I can easily grab it on cool nights. Tonight I've already spread it out on the bed and turned it on. Don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining about cool temps. Just find it interesting that in spring when the weather hits 50 it feels like a heat wave and I'm turning the heat off in the house, wearing t-shirts, and driving w/ the windows down.
