Summer Solstice sunrise
What's not to love about the Northwoods in summer? I woke up around midnight to booming thunder but the sound of rain lulled me back to sleep. This morning everything has been washed clean and watered. The sun is shining, there's a refreshing breeze sending ripples through the tall grass and temps might reach 80. If there is room for one more green thing to grow, I can't find it. Fawns are big enough now to run along w/ mom. Butterflies, dragonflies, and damselflies have hatched and given flight. Farmers are putting up hay. The birds are singing. The frogs are singing. The insects are singing. I'm considering breaking out into song myself and, since it's the solstice, maybe doing a little dancing.
