Lightening

It smelled like something was burning this morning when I walked out. Might have considered a nearby fire but we had quite the rainstorm just last night. When my friend Nancy arrived to go to breakfast and said it smelled the same at her place (30 miles away) I knew the jet stream had picked up the smoke from the Canadian fires north of us and dropped it here.   By noon the wind had dissipated the smoke smell. Indy and I stopped by a large crabapple and then the wild plum copse. Breathed in the absolutely heavenly fragrance of the blooms. Now that I'm not milking cows, think I'll start buying perfume again. I'll check if Amazon carries Chanel #5.
