Blackberry leaves

I get scheduled for a blood draw a few days before I go in for my yearly checkup w/ the doc. The clinic schedules labs early in the morning since you have to fast for 12 hours before hand. I always call up and ask to move my lab later - the appointment person protests asking if I know it's a fasting lab - yes, I know but I explain that I work in the mornings - they eventually acquiesce. It's the same routine every year. My lab draw for today was rescheduled to 1 p.m. Milking very rarely goes that long but you never know when there might be a machinery glitch and it puts us way behind -or- there is some last minute guests coming to see the operation and we all go into cleaning mode after milking. None of those things happened and I was out of the parlor by 9 a.m. Drove home, showered, checked my e-mail and news, and realized I still had a number of hours before I could eat anything. Drove to the clinic, told the receptionist I was hungry and wanted my lab now. "Not a problem," the receptionist laughed. She got me in and out within 7 minutes. A stop for fast food on the way out of town and I was ready for the rest of my day.
