Red Maple beginning to turn

I'm ready for fall. Would like to switch over to flannel sheets, start making chili, and take hot baths. However, I've noticed on my walks that we are still pretty green. Next weekend is the local autumnal celebration and I'm wondering how much color we will have to show off. The boss said he's OK w/ a late fall and an even later winter - no snow 'til Christmas would be fine w/ him. He wants it so all of the crops reach full maturity. I suppose an extended fall would be OK. My deck and deck furniture is made up mostly of plastic which acts like a heat sink during sunny days. Sitting in the chairs it's warm and toasty even when the temperatures drop into the 50's.
