Old/New Cedar Chest

When I was at my friend's house for the Fair she sent back w/ me an old cedar chest. From the identifying marks on the back it was one of those first mass produced furniture pieces from the 50's. We both checked on-line and it wasn't worth much. Brent took it on as one of his last projects this trip. He removed the 5" ornately decorative wood bottom and replaced it w/ a smaller straight piece of walnut which is more my style. He stripped the shellac, lightly sanded the veneer and applied Danish oil. He keeps saying there are other things he could have done but to me it is now both a beautiful and functional piece of furniture.
