Nighthawk

The morning was clear w/ white aurora to the north. The dairy owner came in while we worked and said they would start harvesting corn. While there have been hummers at my feeder all summer, I saw none this afternoon. The high was forecast for 60 degrees but I don't think it ever made it that high and the first frost warnings of the season are issued for tonight. The world has the feel of autumn come. Brent must have felt it too - he left today for warmer climes.

Thanks again for letting me stay at your place! Seems like the time went fast but did a lot of things - worked on fixing your deck with Phil, helped Russ on his bathroom and car, went to the fair, visited w/cousins and friends from the cities, the cedar chest, and made a blackberry pie.
