Arrowhead flowers
If possible, I try to mow my lawn before a rainstorm. There was a chance of storms coming through after sunset so after the walk decided to go back out to mow. I cut the lawn high - 4". I know there are different lengths that are optimum for different types of grass but since my lawn is made up of lots of things other than grass it probably doesn't matter. In fact, I knew what I'd mowed because it was green. The part of the lawn I hadn't mowed yet was still full of tiny white, pink, yellow, and orange flowers (I didn't feel too bad about mowing them since the lawn will be full of new flowers by next week). Once the area around the house was cut, it was road trip time to do all of the trails. I noticed how dark the sky was getting on the way home along the final path. The lawnmower was barely in the garage when I heard the first thunderclap and the rain began. Perfect timing.
