My cousins came for a visit. Since the birdhouses hadn't been checked yet this week, we all went out for some exercise. Some of the houses had just hatched babies - featherless, tiny helpless things. Other houses had older fledglings covered in downy feathers and immediately opening their mouths upward when I disturbed them. However, my "aha moment" came at the end of the walk when we all were on the deck checking for ticks. My cousin Rick was picking them off Dawn's back and vice versa. I told Brent, "Think this would make a good activity for a couple's relationship class. Kinda like monkeys grooming." A great idea but definitely needs a different description.

Was an excellent time despite the tick infestation. Thanks again!
