Relief - Looking through the microscope

Town caucus tonight when our local officials - chairman, supervisors, treasurer, and clerk - are nominated for election in April. The chairman starts the meeting but can't call for nominations if he/she are up for election. Everyone likes to complain to (or about) our local officials but, let's face it, no one wants their jobs. Therefore, the town board always make sure there will be someone at the meeting who isn't running for office. I got a call from the current chairman asking if I would come to the meeting and run the nominations. A quick double check of the rules for running a caucus beforehand and I was able to finish the nominations in 7 minutes. My kind of meeting.
