It promised to be a tough morning. 22 degrees below zero as I walked into work. There are still a couple of hours before sunrise so it got colder than that. The hoofer was on-site so the cows were upset and besides my usual duties, I had to mark the heads of the cows that needed his attention before they left the parlor. Monday so Domingo and I would be also scrubbing down the parlor after milking. I have a cold that won't go away. However, things didn't go that badly. I wore my heavy-weight silk long johns and was able to stay warm. I did use up every one of the tissues that I had stuffed in my back jean's pockets, front jean's pockets, and t-shirt pocket before I left home but, unlike last week, that was just enough to get my nose through the morning. Once home I took a nice winter's nap w/ the dog and cat. Life is good.
