White birch, tag alder, and fog

This has been a hard year on cranberry growers in the Northwoods. The conditions were great for cranberry bogs so there is a glut of fruit driving the prices down. I've been trying to do my part by using more cranberries this fall. I've taken to drinking spiked cranberry juice (I spike it w/ Mist or 7-Up) - very refreshing. I've made homemade garlands of popped popcorn and whole cranberries. Have a great cranberry-orange quick bread recipe. Plus, when a recipe calls for raisins I throw in craisins (dried cranberries) instead. I'm always looking for other uses - let me know if you think of any.
