Goldenrod in fall

I voted yesterday. A few weeks ago I listened to an author talk about why some people shouldn't vote. It seemed a novel idea to me but the author pointed out that there are those who don't educate themselves about the issues much less what the candidates say. He said some people vote by party line, by what their friends/family say, or just because they like a name they see on a ballot. They, he claimed, are doing more harm than good by voting. It's a discussion I go back to in my mind from time to time. I understand his reasoning but still just can't believe that the more people voting, the better.
