Dropped off a box for the library's Book-Bake-White Elephant sale. The Friends of the Library put it on once a year to garner some extra funds for special projects like Story Time, Lego Club, Knot just for Knitters, etc. I also needed to talk to Colleen about the next display for the library. Hadn't seen much of her lately since she broke her arm. However, her arm was now out of the sling and on the mend. She sat in the middle of piles of books, picking up one at a time. Her gift is determining the genre for each book. For the sale, all of the biographies (for example) are stacked together for people who are interested in just that type of book. As I walked in she was saying to her helpers, "I know it looks like a mystery but I've read her stuff before and it always has graphic sex, better put it over in harlequins." I quickly worked out the new display w/ her and determined who would break down and box the current display. That done I left the library quickly. My business was finished and I didn't want to be pressed into being a book minion for the rest of the afternoon.
