Sugar Maple

Domingo taught me the verb "necesito" yesterday. It started because when you run out of towels and just need one more to clean the last cow's udder of your group, it's much easier to grab a towel from your partner than run back into the milk room to pick up more from the bins. Domingo taught me to say "Necesito una toalla" (I need one towel). It went on from there. On a cold morning, Domingo washed his gloved hands w/ the pencil hoses and looked up at me. "Necesito agua calor." I understood that one right away. I looked around for other things 'I need'. I threw up my arms and yelled "Necesito mas vacas." Domingo laughed and opened up the gates to let the next group of cows into the parlor. OK, maybe not the most scintillating of conversations but, if it made us laugh, it was great.
