Geranium growing in an old shoe

Earlier in the year I planted the geraniums I had overwintered in some old shoes. I'll put out a few pictures from this project. It cost me nothing. The geraniums would have been composted last fall, the shoes tossed in the garbage. Except for potting soil and a scissor to make a hole at the edge of the sole, nothing else was needed. It took awhile for the plants to establish themselves but all except one lived. Kind of enjoy setting the shoes around outside for a little splash of color here and there.
