Looking through the window at Ori and the reblooming amaryllis

The owners escorted some people though the parlor while we were milking. As usual, introductions were made. However, I didn't know the purpose of their visit so I asked Mike as we were washing up if he knew. "Evan is thinking of milking Jerseys at the other barn using robots. They sell the robots." Cool. I've always realized that my job was one of those that would eventually be phased out. While I'm not worried about the near future, milking jobs will eventually go the way of chariot drivers, rat catchers, lamplighters, bowling pinsetters, and switchboard operators.

Now you know how the shepherds felt when the angel announced the birth of Jesus. Some of their jobs were phased out in 33 years. JVM

Not to mention railroad firemen, pony express riders, and bean pickers.
