The forest in winter
Stopped off at the Post Office to pick up my mail and get some Christmas stamps. My box held one package, two Christmas cards, and a plethora of catalogs. While this time of year is busy at the Post Office, it isn't like in the Big City. When I lived there, I would stand in a line that curved through the lobby and outside the door. Here I was in a line but even w/ the new abbreviated hours, the line was only three people. Each person, along w/ conducting their business, had a piece of gossip to impart. Was a little surprised when I got to the window and realized that I too started talking about local events. So exciting to fit in!
