Sleet covered Red Maple at sunset

Only 8 degrees this morning on the way home and it never really got warmer than that. The forecast for tomorrow morning is sub-zero temps. Tonight, as usual, I set out my clothes for tomorrow morning. Added my heavier weight silk long-johns and socks to my usual t-shirt and jeans. I put out what I'll have for breakfast - think hot cocoa is called for. In addition I threw my sleeping bag, another jacket, an extra pair of gloves, and a ski hat in the back of the car just in case I get stuck out in the cold. Oh - and chocolate candy. Not precisely sure why, if you are stuck in the snow, you should have candy on hand but then everything does seem better w/ chocolate.
