Making snow on the ski hill

The morning TV news show had a segment on holiday home party etiquette. Found out I was doing it all wrong. I don't tell my guests to take off their shoes at the door. I don't expect my guests to bring me a hostess gift. I don't have a basket in the living room where guests deposit their cell phones before going in to the dining room to eat. If you visit my house no one will see the hole in your sock, don't fret about what to bring, and, if you do need to answer your phone, I know you'll do it as inconspicuously as possible.
