Pope Gregory in the 6th century dictated that there are seven deadly sins - Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy ,Gluttony, Wrath, and Sloth. I can remember them by thinking of Gilligan's Island (which I still can watch on MeTV every night.) Each character is suppose to represent a sin - The Skipper is Wrath and the Professor is Pride. The Millionaire is Greed. His wife is Sloth. Ginger is Lust and Mary Ann is Envy. Gilligan is Gluttony. I like using this little memory tool though it still begs the question, "Why do I want to remember the names of the Seven Deadly Sins?"
