Spent a weekend in the Big City w/ friends. We caught up on our lives (somehow it's different hearing things face-to-face than via e-mail). We ate out. We went on a long walk through a park. One of my friends is a master gardener and an expert on native plants so was fun to see what I could identify before she did. Played some games. Shopped at an outfitters (another friend is planning a camping trip to the Grand Canyon) and at a spice shop. Caught up on some sleep. One of us had just come back from a trip to Lake Superior so she gave each of us a mood ring (think back to the 60's) in the shape of the lake. Elegant!
