Dead Caterpillars

Found a tree at the edge of the woods covered w/ dead caterpillars. Too cold/too early for leaves but the caterpillar eggs must have gotten warm enough in the sun to hatch.  That's what can happen if you aren't prepared for April Fools Day. 














(Actually these are dogwood seeds that dropped onto this bush from an overhead tree.)
