Ragnaroc bench

I was thinking about the signs of spring. My friend in Texas has been seeing birds migrating north. My niece in Maryland is getting bookings for spring weddings. Here in the Northwoods, you have to know where to look for the subtle signs that spring is imminent. Maples are producing sap and my neighbors have tapped about 100 trees. It's warmed up enough that the frost is beginning to go out of the ground so Monday, road weight bans go into effect. I've packed away my silk long johns because I don't need them under my work clothes anymore. On the other hand, had about an inch of snow this morning, the forecast is for snow tonight, and another storm on Monday. Spring is coming (just very, very slowly.)
