A Little Bit of Sun

The road weight load bans were announced, then put off for a week, then put off again. They are suppose to keep the county and town roads from damage as the frost goes out and the supporting ground gets spongy. People have to plan for them. I saw logging trucks leaving w/ half loads as they tried to get as much out of the woods before the bans went on. Home builders are on hiatus since trusses and other supplies can't be transported to work sites. Dairies have their own set of issues. Milk haulers have a dispensation since milk will spoil. However, the sand trucks that bring in the bedding, large machinery, and the garbage trucks do not. The dairy stockpiled sand before the first bans went on. We've been putting garbage in plastic bags and the owner has been taking them to the dump in her car. Farms spread as much manure from their pits as is possible before the bans. While the bans are announced to everyone - the postponements are not. Hopefully, they will go off early since most people think they have been on already for weeks.
